Pyrex dishes can be used to cook with in temperatures up to 932 F which is pretty hot.

Pyrex dishes can withstand temperatures as high as 932 F and any temperatures above 932 F the Pyrex is likely to shatter.

Most people at home would never get the Pyrex dish to 932 F or above so it's not really a problem as the ovens in our home rarely get to that temperature unless you have an industrial oven.

Most times though the Pyrex shatters when you go directly from hot to cold due to sudden temperature changes such as when you put the hot food directly from the oven into the freezer without allowing it to cool down.

As long as you allow the Pyrex dish to cool down before freezing it the Pyrex should not explode or shatter.

Pyrex dishes can explode due to thermal shock from going directly from really hot temperatures such as from the oven to a freezer.

So allow the Pyrex to cool down for at least 30 minutes before placing it in the freezer after it's been in the microwave, oven or other heat source.

Yes you can place Pyrex into the freezer to store food in after you cooked it.

If you've just cooked the food in the Pyrex dish such as in the oven and the food and Pyrex is still hot you should allow the Pyrex dish to cool down for at least 30 minutes before placing it in the freezer.

Allowing the Pyrex dish to cool off for 30 minutes prevents the possibility of the Pyrex shattering or cracking due to the shock from hot to cold temperatures.

Although it's said to be safe to go directly from hot to cold with Pyrex I still wouldn't want to chance it and would rather wait 30 minutes to allow the food and Pyrex cookware to cool off before freezing it.

But as long as you do that the Pyrex is freezer safe.

Pyrex is a very versatile dish and cookware and is safe for microwave use, oven use, refrigerator and even the freezer.
