Can you freeze a crab cake?

Yes Crab Cakes can be frozen and will keep for 6 months to a year in the freezer.

When freezing crab cakes place the crab cakes into a baking sheet or other freezer safe container but first wrap the crab cakes in some plastic wrap.

Or you can also wrap the crab cakes in plastic wrap and also place them into plastic Ziploc bags and place them into the freezer that way.

To defrost the crab cakes before cooking you can just place them in the refrigerator for a day or overnight the day before you're ready to cook them.

If you keep the crab cakes in the refrigerator they should last for 3 to 5 days but any longer than a few days I would freeze them and then thaw them out before cooking them.
