The first ever search engine was called Archie which came into existence in the year 1990.
The search engine Archie came first way before many of the websites we visit today and most websites didn't start coming online until around 1993.
Other search engines then came after Archie and then Yahoo came online on March 2nd 1995 which was before Google.
Yahoo was one of the biggest search engines around before google search was even created and then when Google Search was created Yahoo started losing visitors and searchers.
Still Yahoo and Bing do get a lot of searches per day and visits but Google as of now is way ahead of them.
