If you feel like your life is over you should first pause and breathe.
Stop what you're doing and drop your shoulders and take a slow deep breath.
If you're in distress right now and need someone to talk to you can call a suicide hotline who can help talk you through your distress.
I've felt like my life was over and have been on the verge of wanting to attempt suicide and I called the suicide hotline and they really helped me.
Also tell someone you're struggling and if possible reach out to a friend, a family member or like mentioned above a helpline.
You don't have to explain everything and you can simply say, "I am not okay, and I need someone to talk to."
Also take it an hour at a time and don't look at the whole future today.
Just focus on getting through the next hour safely.
And remember your worth and whatever happened does not lower your value as a human being.
Many people recover from terrible lows and go on to live good lives.
You can call the suicide and crisis lifeline which is free at 988 and you can also text 988 and it's confidential and always open.
To get to the crisis text line you can text HOME to 741741 to text with a trained crisis counselor.
And if you're in immediate danger call 911 or get to the nearest emergency room.
You should also see a mental health therapist which can help you cope and if you can't afford a mental health therapist you may also qualify for a sliding scale fee at some clinics like those that are Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
If you can't afford medical care and have no income or a low income they will still see you although you may have a small copay of $10.00 to $20.00 but they won't turn you down even if you don't have the copay at the moment.
If you have Medicaid it will pay for visits to a doctor and even mental health therapist at a clinic that is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
