Is canned fruit as healthy as fresh?

Canned fruit is less healthy than fresh fruit because when fruit goes through the canning process the fruit loses some of it's vitamins and minerals.

Canned fruit is still pretty healthy for you though and it's better to eat some canned fruit than it is to eat no fruit at all so you'll still be getting some vitamins and minerals by eating some canned fruit.

But if you want the best health benefits from fruit it's best to eat fresh fruit instead of canned fruit.

Fresh fruit contains more vitamin C and Minerals because none of those vitamins or minerals are lost unless you cook the fruit.

Fresh fruit also contains more natural sugar and less artificial ingredients which makes the fresh fruit healthier and even tastier than canned fruit.
