Yes ceramic dishes are considered to be microwave safe.
I've microwaved ceramic plates and bowls for years without any problems and never did one of the ceramic dishes break in the microwave.
However just be aware that if the ceramic dish has any metallic finishes or metallic edges then those should not be microwaved because it can spark in the microwave and ruin your microwave.
But as long as the ceramic dish has no metallic edges or any metallic finishes then you can safely microwave the ceramic.
I also heat up coffee in a ceramic coffee mug and never have I had any problems doing so.
