You can take Tylenol while using Voltaren as they are different types of medications that work in different ways.

Tylenol helps to block pain in your brain and Voltaren reduces swelling and pain at the site and they don't have any known bad interaction with each other.

Just make sure that you don't take other pills that also have acetaminophen in them, which stops you from taking too much and don't use extra oral NSAID pills like naproxen or ibuprofen at the same time as Voltaren unless your doctor tells you to do so.

And if you have liver or kidney problems, talk with your doctor first.

The meds that cannot not be taken with Voltaren are other NSAIDS or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications such as naproxen and ibuprofen as well as certain blood pressure medications and kidney medications like diuretics and ACE inhibitors and blood thinners like warfarin.

Combining these medications with Voltaren significantly raises your risk of severe stomach bleeding and kidney damage.

Taking ibuprofen, naproxen or aspirin with Voltaren greatly increases your risk of stomach ulcers and even dangerous bleeding.

You should also never combine topical Voltaren gel with oral diclofenac or other systemic NSAIDs without getting explicit medical advice to do so.

Also combining Voltaren with blood thinning medications like apixaban, heparin and warfarin, significantly increases your chance of a major bleeding event.

Combining diuretic (water pills), like furosemide or hydrochlorothiazide also increases your risk of kidney problems including possible kidney damage.

And when you combine ACE inhibitor and ARB drugs like lisinopril or losartan, they can lose their blood pressure lowering effectiveness and even strain your kidneys.

Also some specialized medications that should not be taken or combined with Voltaren include methotrexate, lithium and corticosteroids.

Corticosteroid drugs like prednisone when combined or taken with Voltaren also raise your risk of gastrointestinal ulcers.

Voltaren when combined with lithium can also decrease lithium clearance, which can lead to unsafe buildup of lithium in the body.

And Voltaren can also slow how your body clears out methotrexate, which raises toxic chemical levels in your blood, so methotrexate and lithium should also never be combined with Voltaren.
