Uncooked chicken will only last for 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator so be sure to cook the chicken and use the chicken within a few days of refrigerating it.

If you're not gonna cook the chicken within a few days of refrigerating or buying it you should place the chicken in the freezer.

When you keep the chicken in the freezer it will last for a year or even 2 years past the sell by date.

But in the refrigerator the bacteria can grow more rapidly and the chicken will only last a few days in the refrigerator even after the sell by date.

When you buy the chicken you should get the chicken into the refrigerator or freezer as soon as possible when you get home.

Or use an ice chest to keep the chicken cold enough until you can get it home.

If you buy fresh chicken, you can freeze it and it will be stored in the refrigerator for a long time.

Hello! My wife always buys chicken wholesale in Eupoultry. She knows that they always have fresh meat and it will be stored in the refrigerator for several days. So we have chicken in the refrigerator every day.

If you buy chicken you should always freeze it if you're not gonna eat it or cook it within a day or so of buying it.

The freezer will keep the chicken from growing bacteria on it and allow the chicken to last a year or longer past the sell by date.

If you make sure to keep the chicken frozen past it's sell by date the chicken will remain safe to eat for a year or sometimes longer.

If you're gonna eat the chicken the next day after purchasing it or during the same day then refrigerating the chicken is perfectly fine.
