Boiling well water and any other water disinfects and purifies the water of any living organisms and bacteria which makes the water taste better and safer to drink.

But since iron in water is not a living organism or bacteria then no the iron in the well water cannot be removed from the well water through boiling the water.

The iron will remain in the well water even after you boil it but other bacteria will be killed off.

You can get rid of iron in well water through chlorination and water softening if you want to rid the well water of iron.

However the iron in the well water is actually pretty healthy for you and helps improve your health.

I've never worried about removing the iron from the well water when I lived on a farm before although sometimes it would stain the clothes but I just had to rewash the clothes sometimes but not always.
