Eating expired bread is not gonna do you any harm unless the bread had a lot of mold growth and even if the expired bread had a little mold growth and you happened to eat a bit of the mold it's not gonna harm you.
The moldy bread might make your stomach upset or make you vomit depending on your stomachs tolerance to the mold but it's not gonna do you much harm.
Bread is very safe to eat well past the use by date or sell by date as long as it hasn't started growing mold and if the bread has started growing mold on the bread you should throw it out.
But if only a few pieces of bread have mold growth you can remove those moldy slices of bread and throw those out and eat the rest of the good slices of bread.
I eat bread that has gone past the sell by date for years and the bread has been expired but the bread is still safe and okay to eat.
