Salmonella in eggs is not all that common and it's only thought that one in every 20,000 eggs may be infected with Salmonella.

The eggs get infected with Salmonella when the chicken itself gets infected with Salmonella but it's very unlikely that you would get infected with Salmonella from eggs.

Also if the eggs do happen to contain Salmonella you can kill the Salmonella off by cooking the eggs all the way through since the Salmonella cannot survive the heat of the cooking of the eggs.

Just make sure the eggs are not runny and are cooked really good and well done and the Salmonella should not affect you if it does contain Salmonella.

I've eaten eggs all my life and have never once gotten sick from Salmonella.

I always cook the eggs all the way through.
