But the modern window squeegee that is widely used today was invented by Ettore Steccone in the year 1936 who was a window cleaner.
So window squeegees which are a wonderful invention have been in existence for many years.
The first ever squeegee that was invented in 1883 had two rubber blades which is a pretty similar form to modern style ones, and was specifically designed for use on floors and windows.
Squeegee gets it's name because of the meaning of pressing and squeezing.
