There is not a homewrecker law in Arkansas.

In Arkansas, there is no "homewrecker" law, which is legally known as a civil suit for alienation of affection.

In Arkansas you cannot sue an affair partner for causing the breakdown of a marriage.

And only a small handful of U.S. states still allow these types of lawsuits under the "homewrecker" law.

In the state of Arkansas, while you can't sue the third party, adultery is also recognized as a specific fault based ground for filing for a divorce within the state of Arkansas.

Also in Arkansas there's no impact of division and proving adultery generally doesn't change how property is divided or affect decisions regarding spousal support and child custody.

Six states still recognize alienation of affection as grounds for a lawsuit: Hawaii, Mississippi, New Mexico and South Dakota, in addition to Utah and North Carolina.

In those states, the concept is well known.

In Arkansas, you also must live separate and apart for 18 continuous months without cohabitation if you use separation as the no-fault ground for divorce.

 However, you do not need to wait 18 months if you file immediately using fault-based grounds (such as general indignities, adultery, or cruelty).

Separation Rules in Arkansas:

Must last for 18 straight months.
Must live in separate homes.
No sexual relations or acting as a couple during this time.
Staying even one night together can restart the 18-month count.

Other Time Limits to Know about;

60 days: You or your spouse must live in Arkansas for at least 60 days before you can file the paperwork.

30 days: A judge cannot finalize the divorce until at least 30 days pass after you file the initial complaint.

3 months: Total residency in the state must equal at least 3 full months before the final judgment is granted.
