Eating Nutmeg is safe in moderation but yes you can die from eating too much nutmeg so don't overeat the nutmeg.
Eating 1 tablespoon of nutmeg per day is generally safe but if you eat 2 tablespoons of nutmeg per day then that can lead to nutmeg poisoning due to the nutmeg being toxic to us humans in that quantity.
In order for nutmeg to be toxic to humans you would have to consume up to 10 grams of nutmeg before it caused a problem which is 2 tablespoons of nutmeg.
As long as you keep the nutmeg consumption under 2 tablespoons then you will be safe.
If you think you've eaten too much nutmeg then you need to go to urgent care or the emergency room because it can be fatal.
