When a raw turkey has gone bad it will usually start changing colors and begin to have a slimy feeling to the skin of the turkey.
Another indication of a bad or spoiled raw turkey is a bad fouling smell which will likely make you want to vomit.
Feel the skin of the turkey and if it feels slimy or it smells bad then it's no longer good and should be thrown out.
You should keep the turkey frozen until ready to cook it and only remove the turkey from the freezer 24 hours before cooking it.
You can safely keep the raw turkey in the refrigerator for 24 to 48 hours.
Smell the turkey first and check for a slimy feeling and if the skin of the turkey has changed texture or has a foul smell to it or is really slimy then it should not be eaten and thrown out.
