Even if the turkey giblets were left in the turkey and you cooked the turkey it's usually still safe to eat the turkey even when the giblets have been cooked inside it.

The giblets in a turkey are sometimes in either a plastic bag or wrapped in paper and if the turkey giblets were in a plastic bag the plastic bag would just melt inside the turkey.

It shouldn't affect the turkey itself at all and the turkey should be just fine and still tasty.

I've accidentally cooked giblets in a turkey before with the plastic and although there was a bit of melted plastic on the inside cavity of the turkey, the rest of the turkey was still okay to eat.
