Drinking a gallon of water per day throughout the day should not be harmful but if you drink the gallon of water in too short of time then your body and kidneys cannot get rid of the water fast enough which could lead to kidney problems.

During the hot summer months I can sometimes drink around 1 gallon of water per day but it's not all at once but instead throughout the day which is okay.

It becomes a problem for your health and kidneys when you consume the gallon of water at once or too much at a time.

But keeping a gallon of water and drinking it throughout the day is not harmful and is good for you to stay hydrated.

Our Bodies can remove up to 7.4 gallons of water per day which is flushed through our kidneys so you could drink 4 gallons of water per day if you want too.

But the water when drinking it should be spaced out during the day because your kidneys can only remove between 27 to 33 ounces of water per day.

So you can't drink a gallon of water at once because it would be very hard for your body to remove the water and you could get water intoxication.

But spaced out throughout the day by drinking a little bit here and there a gallon of water or even 2 gallons of water is certainly not gonna hurt you.
