Cream Cheese can safely be left out at room temperature for up to 2 hours.
If you're not gonna use the cream cheese within 2 hours time you should put the cream cheese in the refrigerator to prevent bacteria from growing on the cream cheese.
It's best to keep the cream cheese in the refrigerator and remove it within 20 to 30 minutes of using the cream cheese to help prevent any bacteria from growing on it.
You can also freeze the cream cheese and keep it longer then just put the cream cheese in the microwave for 10 to 20 seconds to soften it enough to use it.
