If you've frozen cream cheese and now need to quickly thaw the cream cheese you can place the cream cheese into a microwave safe container and then defrost it in the microwave on the defrost setting for 20 seconds.
The cream cheese should then be defrosted.
You can also place the cream cheese in a container if it's not already in a plastic container and place it in a bowl of warm water.
The warm water will also soften and defrost the cream cheese enough so that you can use it.
