When hotdogs are properly frozen they should keep longer than when just refrigerated.
I've kept hotdogs in the freezer for a year before because I forgot about the hotdogs being buried way down underneath other meat.
The hotdogs were not as fresh as before but the hotdogs were still safe to eat and I never got sick from them.
Keeping meat "including Hotdogs" in the freezer makes the meat last longer and prevents bacteria from growing on the meat.
