Vacuum sealing meat does make it last a bit longer than storing it in the conventional way in the refrigerator.
When you put meat in the refrigerator in it's original packaging it will last for 3 days but when you vacuum seal the meat the vacuum sealed meat will last up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
You can keep the meat longer even when vacuum sealed by storing the meat in the freezer and the meat should last from 6 months to a year or more when frozen and vacuum sealed.
Vacuum sealing meat also helps you keep it well organized and easy to get at when ready to cook the meat.
