In my experience not every turkey I've bought has contained a bag of giblets in it.

If the turkey contains the bag of giblets it should say on the turkey packaging if there's a bag of giblets and to remove the bag of giblets before cooking the turkey.

Most turkeys I buy never have the giblets but a few have had the giblets inside of it that needed removed before cooking.

The turkey giblets should be either inside the neck or the cavity of the turkey and won't usually come out until the turkey has thawed some.

Most Turkeys do have a bag of giblets in them.

However I have bought some Turkeys that did not contain the Giblets.

Still though you should check for the bag of giblets in the Turkey before cooking the turkey.

Turkey giblets are most commonly used to make a giblet gravy.

The parts (besides the liver, which becomes bitter when boiled) are simmered with herbs and vegetables to make a flavorful giblet stock.

If giblets were packed in a plastic bag, and the bag has been altered or melted by the cooking process, do not use the giblets or the poultry because harmful chemicals may have leached into the surrounding meat.
