Coffee has been shown to cause an increase in a person cholesterol levels due to the oils that coffee contains called terpenes.

Although when you filter the coffee through a coffee filter like you normally would when making coffee then those oils are filtered out so then the coffee doesn't affect your cholesterol levels since the oils are filtered out.

So even when you have high cholesterol it's still okay to drink coffee as long as your properly filter it with the coffee filter and coffee maker.

The coffee can actually benefit your heart health and maybe even prevent dementia, strokes and heart disease.
