What are the advantages to mounting an led TV on the wall?

For me I love having the LED TV mounted on the wall because it looks much nicer on the wall and provides me more space on the TV stand for other things.

It's also makes the TV stand and TV much easier for me to keep clean and prevents it from being stolen as easy as well.

When I installed my TV on the wall I also bought a kit to add a new outlet and feed the wires through the wall and then down behind the TV stand so now the TV is on the wall but you cannot see any of the wires that lead to my Satellite TV box, DVD player etc since they're all hidden behind the wall and behind the TV and TV stand.
