Glass Coffee Mugs are safe to use in the microwave and I've been microwaving glass ceramic mugs for many years now to heat up coffee and even heat up hot water to make some hot chocolate.
Never had any problems with the glass ceramic coffee mugs breaking in the microwave and I've been doing it for many years now.
