The reason why they say not to eat bananas for breakfast is due to the carbohydrates and natural sugars which can increase your blood sugar levels if eaten alone and can also cause digestive upset in some people.

However eating bananas for breakfast is okay, but it's also best that you eat the bananas along with other foods like oatmeal, cereal, donuts, yogurt etc.

The reason why you should not eat bananas on an empty stomach is because the bananas high natural sugar content can cause a rapid spike in blood sugar that is followed by a crash and leads to fatigue and even hunger shortly  you eat the banana on an empty stomach.

Also the high magnesium and acidity in bananas can also cause stomach discomfort and even possible diarrhea and sometimes acid reflux for some people when the bananas are eaten on an empty stomach.

Bananas are high in natural sugars, and those natural sugars in bananas can cause a quick energy boost that can be followed by a sharp drop and then cause you to feel tired and hungry soon afterwards.

The high fiber and magnesium in bananas can also sometimes cause some people gas, diarrhea and or bloating when the bananas are eaten on an empty stomach, especially for people that have sensitive stomachs.

And some health experts also suggest that eating high magnesium foods, including bananas on an empty stomach, may cause an imbalance between magnesium and the calcium in your blood.

To avoid these effects of eating bananas, pair the bananas with some proteins, healthy fats or fiber, like oatmeal, yogurt or with nuts to slow down the sugar absorption.

Some people are just fine when eating bananas on an empty stomach, although it's also good to eat something else after eating the banana or before eating the bananas.

I will often eat a banana after I wake up, while I'm making my other breakfast and having coffee.

I don't have any issues with eating the bananas on an empty stomach, although some people do.

If you don't have any issues when eating bananas on an empty stomach, then you can eat the bananas on an empty stomach if you want to do so.
