There's really no way of knowing if eggs contain Salmonella since the eggs are contaminated through the inside of the egg with the Salmonella.
If the egg is cracked in the carton then I would throw it away because it could be bad.
However you can still eat eggs that are infected with Salmonella as long as you fully cook the eggs and don't leave them runny.
Fully cooked eggs will no longer contain the salmonella since the heat from cooking the eggs will kill off the bacteria that infected the eggs with Salmonella.
