The amount of tuna to put in a pasta bake is 2 to 3 cans of tuna of 5 ounce size when baking the pasta bake in a 9x13 inch baking dish.

The amount of tuna in the pasta can be adjusted based on the size of the pasta bake and your own personal preferences.

A smaller pasta bake dish may only require 2 cans of tuna, and a larger pasta bake can use 3 to 4 cans of tuna.

Before adding the canned tuna to your pasta bake you should be sure to drain it first.

When making a pasta bake you first boil the pasta in a pot, then you drain the pasta as you would normally when making traditional pasta.

Then after the pasta is boiled you can assemble it and bake it until the pasta bake is gooey and browned on the top.

The pasta that is best for pasta bakes include, short pastas such as penne, ziti, macaroni / elbow pasta, rigatoni (pictured above), spirals, shells, wheels, orecchiette, bow ties and long pastas such as spaghetti, fettuccine, linguine, parpadelle, egg noodles.

In a tuna pasta bake the ingredients include.

600g/1lb 5oz rigatoni.
50g/2oz butter.
50g/2oz plain flour.
600ml/1 pint milk.
250g/9oz strong cheddar. grated.
2 x 160g cans tuna steak in spring water. drained.
330g can sweetcorn. drained.
And a large handful of some chopped parsley.

When ready to bake the pasta bake, you bake it at 25 to 30 minutes until the pasta bake is golden and bubbling.
