It would take a lot of Chickpeas to make a person gain weight so no just eating a few chickpeas won't make you gain a lot of weight.

Chickpeas are actually good to eat when trying to lose weight since eating just a few of them helps you feel fuller without having to eat too much other food and they contain fiber which is good for you.

The chickpea or chick pea is an annual legume of the family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae.

Its different types are variously known as gram or Bengal gram, garbanzo or garbanzo bean, or Egyptian pea. Chickpea seeds are high in protein.

Yes chickpeas are pretty high in carbs and in one can of chickpeas the one can of chickpeas contain around 45 grams of carbs.

So if you're on a low carb diet you might want to only eat half a can or just once can of chickpeas every once in awhile.

Chickpeas are good for weight loss though since they are low in calories and they are chock full of vitamins and minerals which makes them a healthy food to eat.

Chickpeas are very healthy for you and are a good source of iron, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, and vitamin K.

All those vitamins and nutrients help to build strong bones and chickpeas can also help keep you feeling full while aiding in weight loss.

Chickpeas are low in calories but also help you feel full so that you can maintain a healthy weight or lose weight while not feeling hungry.

The vitamins and nutrients in chickpeas can also prevent certain diseases such as cancer, and they can even boost your immune system.

I love chickpeas and eat them almost daily and I've noticed my health has improved since.

Yes you can eat chickpeas that are straight out of the can.

Canned Chickpeas are already cooked and ready to eat so you don't have to prepare them.

I like to heat my chickpeas up though in the microwave after removing them from the can because I just don't like cold food.

Fresh dried chickpeas though that are not in a can do need to be cooked and the way you prepare those chickpeas are to place the chickpeas in a pot, cover them with plenty of water and soak them for several hours or overnight.

Soaking the chickpeas overnight helps them to cook faster and the soaked chickpeas will usually fully cook in about 1 ¼ to 1 ½ hours otherwise if you don't pre soak the chickpeas beforehand then it will take at least 4 hours to fully cook the chickpeas.

Chickpeas are very healthy for you and contain a host of health benefits including vitamin K, folate, phosphorus, zinc, copper, manganese, choline, and selenium.

Besides that Chickpeas are an excellent gluten-free source of protein and fiber making chickpeas an excellent food for Vegans to eat.

Chickpeas are a healthy food but eating too many chickpeas can make your gassy and feel bloated as well so eat the chickpeas in moderation and you'll be just fine.
