The most common reason why your body or stomach hurts after eating Chinese food is because of a reaction to the MSG in Chinese food.

MSG is also known as monosodium glutamate and is a flavor enhancer that is commonly used in Chinese cooking.

Chinese restaurant syndrome is the term for your body or stomach hurting after eating Chinese food.

The symptoms of being sensitive to MSG include.

Headache and Dizziness.

Lightheadedness and facial pressure.

Jaw tightness and burning or tingling sensations.

Chest pain and or back pain.

Sweating and abdominal pain.

In most cases you should get better within a few hours to a day or so and should not require any medical treatment.

However if you experience any breathing problems or facial swelling or have an abnormal heartbeat then you should seek medical attention.

Antihistamines can also help with the facial swelling, abnormal heartbeat and breathing problems but you should see a doctor to be safe.

If you're having a life threatening reaction to the Chinese food then it's a medical emergency and if you have an EpiPen also known as Epinephrine it should be administered immediately.

MSG in Chinese food and other foods can cause fatigue, lethargy, upset stomach, bloating, etc.

The good news is that in most cases this will pass as the food is metabolized by the body.
