Fried rice is healthy when eaten in moderation although when consumed in excess fried rice can be unhealthy just like any other fried foods.

Rice is healthier not fried but you can eat fried rice in moderation and still be healthy.

Chinese fried rice tastes different as a result of the fried rice being over cooked which dries out the rice and leaves it toasty.

Over cooking the fried rice helps to get mot of the moisture out of it which makes the fried rice better.

To give Chinese fried rice that signature fried rice taste, you'll also need to drizzle in sesame oil and soy sauce, but feel free to use as much or as little as you wish.

You can even mix in things like garlic powder, ginger root, or Sriracha sauce and chili pepper for a bit of a kick to the Chinese fried rice.

The chemical taste in Chinese food is Umami which was first defined as being the characteristic taste that is elicited by glutamates and has since also been associated with monosodium glutamate MSG.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a flavor enhancer often added to restaurant foods, canned vegetables, soups, deli meats and other foods.
