Do you leave your desktop computer on all the time or turn it off at night?

I'm wondering what everyone else here does with their desktop computer?

Do you turn the desktop computer off at night or do you leave the desktop computer turned on 24 hours per day 7 days per week?

I leave my desktop computer on all the time so that any updates can download overnight but I turn my monitor off at night.

If I'm gonna be away from my desktop for just 20 minutes then I leave the computer monitor on but if gonna be away from my computer longer than 20 minutes then I turn the led monitor off to increase the lifespan.

Yes my desktop computer that I'm using right now stays on 24 hours per day 7 days per week unless I'm gone from the house longer than a week and then it goes off and gets unplugged just to protect it from power surges and lightning.

Otherwise the desktop computer stays on 24/7 unless it becomes slow and I need to restart it which happens sometimes around every 2 months or so.

The led monitor also stays on most of the day when I'm using the computer since I spend around 10 hours per day online working from home.

If I step away from the computer longer than 10 minutes and plan to be away from the computer longer than 10 minutes then I shut the led monitor off since sometimes when I get up to take a break from the computer something then comes up that I may have to leave the house to go do something for a few hours so to help increase the lifespan of the monitor and prevent image burn in I turn the monitor off if gone longer than 10 minutes but the computer itself stays on.

My laptop computer gets shut off when not in use but my desktop does stay on all the time and I never turn my led computer monitor off until I'm completely done using the computer for the day.

I work at home blogging and I like to get up frequently to take breaks in between writing new blog posts, updating current blog posts and responding to blog comments.

I also spend the day promoting my blog as well and can't sit at the computer longer than 30 minutes at a time unless really needed.

So the monitor stays on for easy access and I find that I actually wore out an led monitor faster shutting it off frequently and turning it back on because the power button which is little broke with too much use.

My monitors still last a long time even when they're left on all day but only shut off at night.
