Green bean casserole is not considered to be good for GERD and eating green bean casserole could make GERD symptoms worse, especially if you eat a lot of it.

I have GERD and my dad does as well and we eat some green bean casserole and haven't had issues but if eaten too much the green bean casserole can worsen the GERD symptoms due to the high fat content.

You can also reduce the amount of fat in the green bean casserole when making it and avoid using potential irritants in the green bean casserole to make it healthier for GERD.

Green beans themselves though are also good for and okay for GERD, especially when you roast the green beans or steam the green beans in olive oil and fresh hers or just roast or steam the green beans.

Normal green bean casserole often contains spicy seasonings, fried onions and other acidic ingredients such as tomatoes which can trigger GERD symptoms in some people.
