Tempeh is vegan and vegetarian friendly because tempeh is plant based and is made from soy.

To prepare tempeh you can air fry it, pan fry it, steam it or even bake it.

The best way to prepare tempeh is to pan fry it in some oil which makes it taste the best.

Once the oil in the pan is hot, add your tempeh without pouring the marinade in and cook or pan fry the tempeh until it is golden brown on each side and allow the tempeh to cook 4 to 5 minutes per side.

You can pan fry tempeh and even add the tempeh to stir fry's.

The best and tastiest way of cooking tempeh is pan frying it in an oiled skillet on the stove so that the tempeh absorbs more flavor and does not dry out.

Tempeh is nice and unlike Tofu, Tempeh has a firm texture and meaty texture and a nice tasting delicious nutty flavor.

Tempeh is also great for crumbling up to mimic ground meat, adding to stir fries, searing like steak or even layering into some sandwiches.

Seitan and tempeh are not the same and are quite different from each other as Seitan is made from vital wheat gluten and tempeh is made from soy.

Tempeh and Tofu are also not the same as tofu and tempeh have different textures and the taste is different.

Tofu is bland and neutral  in taste and tempeh has a little more nutty and earthy flavor and tofu is smooth and soft and tempeh is dense, firm and chewy.

Tempeh is better than tofu for you as tempeh contains 19 grams of protein in 100 grams of tempeh and tofu contains only 8 grams of protein per 100 grams.

Tempeh is good for you and provides the body with a great source of plant based protein and also has a host of other health benefits.

Some of health benefits of tempeh include improved cognitive function, lower cholesterol, anti cancer properties, anti aging properties, improvement in gut health and improved mental health as tempeh also has antidepressant effects.

Tempeh is also fermented, and fermented foods are easier to digest and provide healthy gut bacteria.

Perhaps the only downside to tempeh is its calorie count is higher than tofu's, but the nutrients it packs more than make up for this.

Packaged tempeh is already cooked so it can be eaten and enjoyed right from the package.

Non packaged tempeh is not cooked and should be cooked before being eaten.

Steaming the tempeh before marinating or cooking it helps remove any bitterness in the tempeh.

Raw tempeh also has almost no nutritional value and does not taste very pleasant raw.

Tempeh is considered a processed form of soy because it's made by fermenting cooked soybeans and then molding them into a dense block with some grains (typically rice).

Tempeh or tempe is a traditional Indonesian food made from fermented soybeans and is made by a natural culturing and controlled fermentation process that binds soybeans into a cake form.

A fungus, Rhizopus oligosporus or Rhizopus oryzae, is used in the fermentation process and is also known as tempeh starter.

When compared gram per gram, tempeh is higher in calories, protein, and fiber, while tofu is lower in calories and carbohydrates, and neither contains sugar.

Nutritionally speaking, both tempeh and tofu are healthy options and are a good way to add vegetarian protein to any meal.

The only downside to tempeh is its calorie count is higher than tofu's, but the nutrients it packs more than make up for this.

Tempeh is an awesome plant-based protein but it can be a bit of an acquired taste.

It has a nutty, almost mushroomy flavor that can be overpowering or even bitter if it's not prepared well.

The tastiest way to cook tempeh is to pan-fry it in an oiled skillet on the stove.

This way, the tempeh can absorb more flavor and will not dry out.
