Vinegar is not bad for your health when it's consumed in moderation.

However consuming too much vinegar can be harmful to your health due to it's high acidity.

Consuming too much vinegar can cause irritation to your esophagus, tooth enamel erosion, heartburn, and stomach upset.

If drinking vinegar it's important to always dilute the vinegar with water so it won't be as acidic.

Vinegar contains polyphenols, plant chemicals that have an antioxidant effect that may protect cells from oxidative stress.

Vinegar has been used for thousands of years to fight off infections and clean and heal wounds.

Modern research, however, finds that the human body will break down the acids of vinegar.

To be on the safer side, avoid having more than 30 mL of vinegar in a day.

Usually, 15 to 30 mL each day is the recommended dose.
