The difference between Spanish Rice and Mexican Rice is Spanish Rice is made with a saffron base while Mexican Rice contains cumin, cilantro, peppers and tomatoes as a base.

Mexican and Spanish Rice are almost identical except for the above differences.

Both Mexican and Spanish rice are good rice dishes to eat in my opinion at least. I could live off of Mexican and/or Spanish Rice as I can't get enough of it.

Spanish Rice is made with Saffron base while Mexican Rice is made with Cumin, Cilantro, peppers and tomatoes.

They are similar but have different ingredients in them and they also taste different from each other.

If you taste Spanish Rice and then Taste Mexican rice it can and will usually taste different to you.

Mexican rice and Spanish Rice taste different to me.
