Do black carpenter bees make honey?

Carpenter bees do produce some honey but the female carpenter bees only produce enough honey to feed their young and don't produce a lot of honey or create a beehive like honey bees do.

Honey bees are damaging to structures and anything else since they bore holes in the wood like someone would do with a tool.

That's why you should always get rid of carpenter bees if you notice any around your home.
