Whiskey will not freeze in your car as the ABV in the whiskey is too high for it to freeze.

Whiskey can and will freeze but it takes a temperature of -27 F for whiskey to freeze as whiskeys freezing point is -27 F.

Normal freezing temperatures that we experience will not be enough cold to freeze Whiskey although some types of alcohol will freeze at higher temperatures.

The exact freezing point of alcoholic beverages depends on its proof (amount of alcohol per volume).

The lower the proof, the warmer the freezing point.

Beer that is 5 percent alcohol by volume freezes at 27 degrees Fahrenheit.

Keeping any spirit in the freezer won't permanently harm it, but it will dull the flavors if you pull the bottle out and immediately pour a glass.

While chilling flavorless vodka is fine and dandy, your expensive whiskey tastes way better at room temp.

Because whiskey has a lower freezing point than the recommended temperature in the United States, it will not freeze in a standard freezer.

However, while keeping whiskey in the freezer will not damage it, icy temperatures will impact the liquid within the bottle.
