Expired frozen food can make you sick if the expired frozen food has actually gone bad and spoiled.

However if the frozen food is just expired and out of date and has not spoiled then the expired frozen food that is kept frozen will not make you sick just because it has expired.

The expired frozen food won't taste as good as fresh but it will not harm you.

You can eat something on it's use by date.

The use by date means that the food should be eaten by that date for the best taste and freshness.

Food that goes past the use by date is not always bad and is safe as long as it's been stored correctly and has not actually spoiled.

It is OK to freeze chicken on the use by date.

Chicken and other meats can be kept past the use by date as long as they are frozen.

Meats and chicken should always be frozen if not gonna use it within a few days of purchasing it.

You can freeze meat on it's use by date.

Meat is still good when frozen on and after it's use by date.

As long as the meat has been frozen the meat is still good to eat after the use by date.

The use by date just means it's fresh up to that date but as long as the meat has remained frozen during and after the use by date the meat is still safe to eat.

Meat is still good to eat after the use by date as long as the meat has been kept frozen or refrigerated for no longer than 3 days.

Meat is good even after the use by date for up to 3 days in the refrigerator and meat is good for 6 months to a year after the use by date when frozen.

I keep lots of meat for a year and sometimes 2 years even past the use by date when I put it in my freezer.

The meat doesn't stay as fresh after the use by date but it's still perfectly safe to eat as long as it is not smelly or slimy in feeling.

When meat goes bad or rancid you'll smell a really bad smell that would make you vomit and the skin of the meat will likely be slimy or change colors.

The use by date does not mean that the meat is not good it just means to use the meat by the use by date for the best freshness.

As long as you freeze the meat if you plan to keep the meat past the use by or sell by date the meat will be still safe and good to eat for 6 months to a year.

The freezer will keep the bacteria from growing on the meat so when meat is frozen it won't go bad although it may get freezer burn but it's still very safe to eat.

Meat will only last around 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator but if you want to keep meat longer then you have to freeze it for long term storage.

I've kept and ate several types of meat in my freezer for a year and sometimes 2 years and although it's not as fresh as before the meat is still perfectly safe to eat.
