You can eat hamsters although they are not very nutritious and they have very little meat to them.

Hamsters are actually somewhat of a delicacy in the Andean highlands and has been a traditional part of the Peruvian and Bolivian diets since pre-colonial times.

Animals that humans cannot eat are Puffer Fish, Sea Turtles, Shark Fins, Bush Meat, Animal Lungs, Casu Marzu and Hallucinogenic absinthe.

Although humans can eat animals such as penguins they don't because it's illegal.

Also horse meat is illegal to eat in most places as well so while horse meat is edible they cannot eat it.

People do not eat penguins although penguin meat is edible to humans and not toxic.

Legally you cannot eat penguins in most countries because of the Antarctic Treaty of 1959.

The main reason for people not eating penguins is that it is illegal to hunt penguins in places where they are abundant and generally perceived as immoral due to the endangered status of some species.

Penguins are a group of aquatic flightless birds.

They live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere: only one species, the Galápagos penguin, is found north of the Equator.

Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage and flippers for swimming.

Some facts about penguins are.

Gentoo Penguins are the fastest of all penguin species! These penguins can swim at speeds of up to 36km/h!
The oldest penguin fossils are 62 million years old.
Penguins poop every 20 minutes.
A penguins black and white coloring is called counter-shading.
Penguins are expert divers!

Penguins are birds, although they are flightless birds.

Lots of people think penguins are mammals rather than birds because they can't fly, and we see them swimming underwater or waddling on land instead.

Penguins' main predators (seals, sea lions, whales, and sharks) all reside in the water, so these birds feel much safer on land around researchers and tourists for better or for worse.

Some penguins build pebble nests.

According to some animal experts, the penguin is one of the most streamlined animals in the world.

A penguin's body is tapered at both ends and it has a large head, short neck and elongated body.

This streamlined design helps penguins swim fast.

Penguins eat krill (a shrimp-like crustacean in the family Euphausiidae), squids, and fishes.

Various species of penguins have slightly different food preferences, which reduce competition among species.
