All purpose flour is vegan as it's basically crushed plants called wheat.

Since flour including all purpose flour is plant based and contains no animal products then the all purpose flour is vegan.

Corn flour is not always bad for you although it's not very nutritious either.

Corn flour is a poor source of vitamins and minerals because the nutrients are lost during processing.

Therefore it does not add nutritional value to your food.

It is gluten free and can be used as an alternative to flour thickeners.

Corn flour does not contain fiber.

Corn starch, maize starch, or cornflour is the starch derived from corn grain.

The starch is obtained from the endosperm of the kernel.

Corn starch is a common food ingredient, often used to thicken sauces or soups, and to make corn syrup and other sugars.

Corn flour is a yellow powder made from finely ground, dried corn, while cornstarch is a fine, white powder made from the starchy part of a corn kernel.

Both may go by different names depending on where you live.

Corn flour is used similarly to other flours, whereas cornstarch is mainly used as a thickener.

When you eat dry maida it will stick to your tongue and you will not be able to swallow it but corn flour does not stick and can be easily swallowed.

The color of maida is pure white somewhat like that of milk but corn flour is not so bright.

You can substitute the same amount of cornflour to cornstarch in your recipe.

It is a good idea to always have cornflour on hand as you can easily add a tsp or two to a dish that has thickened like you'd like it to.

It is also used in baking to give sponge cake a light fluffy texture.
