Mongolians are considered Chinese but actually Mongolians are more of a East Asian Ethnic group of people.

The Mongols (Mongolian: Монголчууд, ᠮᠣᠩᠭᠣᠯᠴᠤᠳ, Moŋğolçuud, [ˈmɔɴ.ɢɔɬ.t͡ʃot]; Chinese: 蒙古族; Russian: Монголы) are an East Asian ethnic group native to Mongolia, Inner Mongolia in China and the Buryatia Republic of the Russian Federation.

The Mongols are the principal member of the large family of Mongolic peoples.

Mongolia is an independent country, sometimes referred to as Outer Mongolia, sandwiched between China and Russia.

Inner Mongolia is an autonomous region of China equivalent to a province.

Inner Mongolia is a region (province) located in the Northern part of China and now considered part of China.

Both were traditionally inhabited by the indigenous Mongolian peoples and their various tribal lineages at one time they formed one Mongolia commonly referred to as greater Mongolia.

The Republic of China recognized Mongols to be part of the Five Races Under One Union.

Its successor, the People's Republic of China (1949-), recognized Mongols to be one of the 55 ethnic minorities in China.

As of, there are 5.8 million Mongols in China.

Mongols are considered one of China's 56 ethnic groups, encompassing several subgroups of Mongol people, such as the Dzungar and the Buryat.

With a Mongol population of over seven million, China is home to twice as many Mongols as Mongolia itself.

Mongolia, a nation bordered by China and Russia, is known for vast, rugged expanses and nomadic culture.

Its capital, Ulaanbaatar, centers around Chinggis Khaan (Genghis Khan) Square, named for the notorious founder of the 13th- and 14th-century Mongol Empire.

Also in Ulaanbaatar are the National Museum of Mongolia, displaying historic and ethnographic artifacts, and the restored 1830 Gandantegchinlen Monastery.

Chinese Mongols aren't so distantly related to their northern ancestors, though their nomadic lifestyle is in danger of dying out.

Mongols are considered one of China's 56 ethnic groups, encompassing several subgroups of Mongol people, such as the Dzungar and the Buryat.

Nationality: Mongolian(s). Ethnic groups: 85% Mongol (predominantly Khalkha), 7% Turkic (largest group, Kazakh) 4.6% Tungusic, and 3.4% others, including Chinese and Russian.

Known for warfare, but celebrated for productive peace.

Led by humble steppe dwellers, but successful due to a mastery of the era's most advanced technology.

The Mongol Empire embodied all of those tensions, turning them into the second-largest kingdom of all time.
