If you do not have any Old Bay Seasoning and the recipe calls for Old Bay Seasoning then you could use Chesapeake seasoning as a substitute for Old Bay Seasoning.
However if you do not have that either you can make a good substitute for Old Bay Seasoning using the recipe below if you have the ingredients.
To make your own substitute for Old Bay Seasoning you use the ingredients listed below.
- 2 tablespoons celery salt.
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika.
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper.
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
- 1 pinch dry mustard.
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg.
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cardamom
- 1 pinch ground allspice
