Are packages forwarded by the USPS postal service?

Does the USPS forward packages along with letters and other mail?

I do know that priority mail packages are forwarded by the USPS but I believe that standard packages are not forwarded to the new address.

If you ordered anything make sure you put your new address in the shipping details otherwise the package might get sent back to sender.
