Trees are not able to feel any pain when cut or feel any pain at all.
Trees have no brain or nervous system that is responsible for the feeling of pain.
Although trees are alive the tree cannot feel any pain when you cut the tree down, cut a branch off, prune the tree or if the tree gets uprooted etc.
Trees have no nervous system or brain that can feel pain although it's been found in research and science that they can feel thing such as a caterpillar crawling on them.
But when you cut the tree they might feel something but they likely cannot feel any pain or process any pain although trees can bleed the sap inside them which is like human blood that carries oxygen throughout the tree.
I used to feel so bad for a tree when I saw one cut as a kid but as I studied in science later the tree has no way of actually feeling pain like us humans can.
So when you cut a trees limb off or cut a tree down they can't feel the pain associated with it like a human could if you were to cut a human arm off.
