A good download speed is considered to be at least 25 Mbps down and at least 3 Mbps up.
However even a download speed of 5 to 8 Mbps is good for most people who just want to watch YouTube, Stream Videos and browse the internet.
However if you have more people in your house streaming videos, watching YouTube, uploading or downloading files then having a higher upload speed is better.
I have a download speed of 8 Mbps and an upload speed of 0.64 Mbps which is okay for me and the streaming of videos or watching YouTube are no problem.
But uploading files is a pain and slow though.
I wish I had a faster internet upload speed because I sometimes upload large files which can take forever.
Fiber Internet is supposed to be here soon and if and when it does get here I'm switching or I'm moving somewhere where I can get faster internet because I need it.
