Stranding someone is not illegal as long as that someone is not your child or an adult you're a guardian of.

If it's a boyfriend, girlfriend, friend, adult kid that you're not responsible for etc then stranding that person is not illegal.

However if you have guardianship for the child or adult and you strand them and leave them behind somewhere on purpose then that becomes a crime and neglect.

When an adult strands, deserts or abandons a child, that behavior is often a crime.

Parents or guardians who care for minor children have a legal responsibility to protect the children and ensure they are not exposed to harm.

When such an adult deserts or abandons a child, that behavior is often a crime.

It's not illegal to be stranded or left behind by someone unless for example you are a minor and were left behind by your parent or legal guardian.

You are an adult requiring specialized care and are left behind by your appointed caretaker.

If a parent stranded you as a child or teen then you should call the police as it's illegal for them to do that unless you as a teen are emancipated.
