Hi, people, hope you're all good.

Well, im hoping that someone helps me to confirm some stuff. The thing is that im starting a blog about web development with the tools that we all know. But, for the moment, my budget is pretty limited. I have choosed Wordpress as the CMS to work on the site because it's the most budget-friendly option. As i don't plan to spend hundreds of dollars on premium plugins and themes - at least in the first two months - i have been looking at sites likes this that offer free downloads of the premium binaries. It seems that due to GPL License terms, it's allowed to share the binaries freely, although you lose support from the developer - i can deal with this anyway -. But, can anyone confirm me if this is true, or partially true? It's 100% sure that i won't run into legal trouble for using the premium binaries without paying for a license? Hope someone can guide me on this.

Using wordpress plugins that require a license without a license is illegal.

However it's not likely that you would get into much if any trouble using the wordpress plugins without a license or without paying for the wordpress plugin.

Just be aware though that if you do use wordpress plugins without the license that it may not work properly or could cause issues with your wordpress website.

Also downloading wordpress plugins on websites that pirate the wordpress plugins could expose your website to viruses etc.

So I personally would not recommend using wordpress plugins without a license or only use the actual free wordpress plugins.

But it's not likely you'll get into any trouble using the wordpress plugins without the license.
