Felonies do show up on background checks even after 10 years have passed.

The felony will be on your record for life unless you can get the felony charge on the record expunged.

Also the felony charge may not effect your ability to get employment after 10 years as long as during that time you have a clean record.

Felonies do show up on a background check.

When you get convicted of a felony then the felony will remain on your background for life unless you can get the felony expunged.

But even after 10 years the felony will still be on your record.

It usually has less of an effect on your record and employment after 10 years time as long as you continue to have a clean record and not criminal history added.

Felonies that you've been convicted of will always show up on a background check when an employer or landlord etc pulls a background check on you.

This is why it's hard for someone who's a convicted felon to get a job although it is possible.

Even after 7 years the felony criminal record is considered permanent and never goes away so yes if you're a convicted felon expect the felony to show up on your background check.
