Electric clothes dryers draw a huge amount of electricity when running.

A clothes dryer can use up to 4000 watts of electricity when running. So yes the clothes dryers use up a lot of electricity which is mostly made from fossil fuels.

That could be a way for the clothes dryer to be bad for the environment. But we have renewable electricity being produced now so the clothes dryer isn't so bad for the environment.
